Success at the First-Tier Tribunal (Social Entitlement chamber) today!

I am pleased to share some good news in which l represented a client today at the First-Tier Tribunal.

The DWP refused to award our client, a 5-year-old child, the DLA Higher Rate mobility component, stating the child's behaviours & mental impairment was NOT of a 'severe nature'.

After months of work/arguing points of law, the Tribunal Judge & Panel Members ruled in favour of my client, concluding that the legal test for Higher Rate Mobility is met.

The DWP DECISION IS OVERTURNED and child's mother is overjoyed with the outcome.

    Adult Self-neglect case

We have swiftly secured social care support and funding under the Care Act 2014 for Client X who was self-neglecting.

The social worker completed Client X's Care Act 2014 Assessment of Needs within hours and Client X was assessed as needing 13 hours and 15 minutes of 1-1 PA support per week at a rate of £11.50 per hour.

The Local Authority allocated Client X a personal budget of £152.37 per week towards his social care needs and Client X's social care package has been in place since March 2023.
