The safeguarding and overall well-being of our young people are always at the forefront of all we do. We listen to our young people, and we value their voice. We encourage their active participation in matters about them.
We offer targeted and sustainable accommodation and support services for Looked-after children aged 16 to 17 and 18+ care-leavers. Some of the characteristics of the young people we accommodate and support include but are not limited to:

- Challenging behaviour
- Moderate learning disabilities
- Drug and alcohol abuse
- Self-harming behaviours
- Gang involvement
- Criminal behaviour
- Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children
AUC is registered with Ofsted as a provider of both Solo/Self-contained Supported Accommodation (Ofsted Cat 1 TSAR 2023) and Ring-fenced Shared Supported Accommodation for both sexes as well as for single sexes aged 16+ (Ofsted Cat 2 TSAR 2023).
